Principals and Supervisors

Penn Manor High School Principal

Baron Jones is principal of Penn Manor High School. He previously served as principal of Conestoga Valley Middle School from 2015 to 2019 and was an assistant principal at Spring Grove Area High School from 2008 to 2015. Jones also taught secondary social studies for the School District of Lancaster from 2001 to 2008. He received his master’s degree in Educational Leadership/Principalship from Widener University’s Graduate School of Education and his teacher certification from Millersville University, with an emphasis on technology integration. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Jacksonville State University. He lives in Manheim Township with his wife, Georgia, and their sons, Brayden and Quinten.

Manor Middle School Principal

Dr. Dana Edwards is the Principal of Manor Middle School. He joined the Penn Manor School District in August 2002 as the Assistant Principal at Manor Middle School. Mr. Edwards served as a Health and Physical Education teacher and an athletic trainer for the Pequea Valley School District from 1993-2002. He earned two bachelor’s degrees from Lock Haven University, a master’s in Education from Millersville University, and an administration certificate from Penn State University. Edwards and his wife, Amy, have three sons.

Assistant Principal: Jerrell Birch

Marticville Middle School Principal

Christine Smith is the Principal of Marticville Middle School. She joined Penn Manor in 2005 as a middle school special education teacher. From 2009 to 2011 she served as assistant principal/academic support teacher at Marticville Middle School. She served as principal of Pequea Elementary from August 2011 to December 2012.

Dean of Students: Ken Webster

Ann Letort Principal

Dr. Carly McPherson is the Principal of Ann Letort Elementary. Previously she was the principal at Martic Elementary and Dean of Students and academic support teacher at Marticville Middle School. She has taught fourth and fifth grade for the district as well as served as the academic support teacher for Pequea Elementary for four years. Mrs. McPherson earned her bachelor’s degree in Child Development from the University of Pittsburgh, her master’s from Millersville University and her educational administration degree from Penn State University. She and her husband, Eddie, live in Mount Joy with their daughter, Emma, and son, Ean.

Central Manor Principal

Brian Malek is the principal of Central Manor Elementary School. Mr. Malek started his career in the Penn Manor School District in 1999 as a fifth-grade teacher at Central Manor. After 12 years teaching fifth grade, he became the assistant principal at Central Manor, a position he held for three years. Mr. Malek graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Several years later he obtained his master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State University. Brian and his wife, Jennifer, live in East Hempfield with their daughter, Addison, and son, Parker.

Conestoga Principal

Dr. Scott Keddie is the principal of Conestoga Elementary. He previously served as assistant principal at Manor Middle School and was acting principal at Pequea Elementary School and Marticville Middle School. Dr. Keddie was a social studies teacher at Manor Middle from 2003 to 2006. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Millersville University, his principal certification from Penn State University, and his doctorate from Immaculata University. He lives in the Hempfield area with his two children.

Hambright Principal

Eric Howe is the principal of Hambright Elementary. He previously was an assistant principal at Penn Manor High School. Mr. Howe earned his Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies from Millersville University, his master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University and his principal certification from Alvernia University. He joined the Penn Manor team in 2002 as a high school social studies teacher. Prior to becoming an educator, he served in the United States Marine Corps. Howe and his wife, Adrienne, have two children, Alexis and Eric Jr.

Assistant Principal: Kelli Eachus

Martic Principal

Dr. Jennifer Sugra is the principal of Martic Elementary School. From 1994 to 2000 Mrs. Sugra was a fifth-grade teacher in the district. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University, her master’s from Millersville University and her educational administration degree from Penn State University. Sugra is a 1989 Penn Manor graduate. She and her husband, Chris, live in Millersville with their daughters, Anna, Lily and Maya.

Pequea Principal

Dr. Shirley Murray is the principal of Pequea Elementary School. Dr. Murray received her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, her master’s degree in Education Leadership and her doctorate through Millersville University. In 2001, Dr. Murray began her career as a special education teacher for Lancaster-Lebanon IU13. After several years in that position, she became a special education consultant for the School District of Lancaster. Prior to arriving at Penn Manor, she was an assistant principal in Manheim Central School District. Dr. Murray also served as principal at Ann Letort Elementary School from August 2009 to December 2012. She and her family live in Millersville.

Eshleman Principal

Dr. Melissa Mealy is principal of Eshleman Elementary School. She served as assistant principal of Hambright Elementary School from 2018 to 2022 and previously was Penn Manor’s K-12 English Language Arts Supervisor. Dr. Mealy began her career at Penn Manor in 2006 as a high school English teacher. She received her bachelor’s degree in secondary English education and her master’s in educational leadership from Millersville University. Dr. Mealy earned her doctoral degree in educational leadership from Immaculata University in 2016. A native of Cresswell, she attended Penn Manor schools and has been active in local youth sports.

Curriculum Supervisors

Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction

Dorina Andes is the Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction. Prior to this role she served at Penn Manor High School as an Assistant Principal for 10 years and math teacher for 10 years. She also spent 8 years teaching math outside of Penn Manor. Mrs. Andes earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Southeastern Louisiana University, as well as her master’s degree, Supervision of Curriculum and Instruction and Principal Certification from Millersville University. She lives in Lititz with her husband, Ashley, and daughter, Gabby.

K-12 Language Arts Supervisor

Allison Mattern is the K-12 Language Arts Supervisor. Prior to serving in this role, she was an English and Social Studies department chairperson in the Anne Arundel County Public School System. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and History from the University of Ulster and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Hood College. Ms. Mattern currently lives in Millersville with her daughters Addison and Emily.

K-12 Math Supervisor

Kathy Grenier is the K-12 Math Supervisor for the district. She served as a high school math teacher for 21 years prior to her role as Math Supervisor in 2013. Mrs. Grenier earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from Temple University, her master’s of Education from Millersville University and her Supervisory Certificate from Millersville University. She lives with her three children (Taylor, Morgan, and Austin) in Willow Street.
